Former England manager Glenn Hoddle has told the Daily Mail that Liverpool midfielder Adam Lallana is the Three Lions best player at this moment in time.
The midfielder has enjoyed a superb start to the season, playing a key role as Liverpool have risen to the top of the Premier League table.
He has impressed for England too and was on the score sheet on Friday in the 3-0 win over Scotland at Wembley.
Many believe he is finally starting to live up to the big price the Reds paid Southampton for his services.

Hoddle has certainly been impressed and says he thinks Lallana is England’s best player at this moment in time.
“At 28, he is playing the best football of his career and maybe that is because he only now believes in himself fully. He should do. He is England’s best player at present,” he told the Daily Mail.
“I said at the start of the season that if he could add goals to his assists, he could join the top echelons of the game. Since then he’s scored twice for England and three for Liverpool. He needs to maintain that ratio.”

The pressure is now on Lallana to maintain his current fine form and continue to impress for club and country this season.
He certainly shows no signs of slowing at present, having shown marked improvement since Jurgen Klopp took charge last season.
They will certainly be hoping he can keep performing at such a high level, with it looking likely he will play a key role in their title challenge this season.
