Glenn Hoddle praised Tottenham boss for his measured reaction to Tottenham’s win.

Tottenham’s victory against Real Madrid was just how fans dreamed the game could be, and you could forgive all involved with the club for getting carried away.
The most important man at Spurs is head coach Mauricio Pochettino, and he was deliberately measured after the 3-1 victory.
After the game Pochettino warned the team against complacency, telling BT Sport: “The victory is so important for us and the players. It’s a win over Real so it’s great for the club and fans. There’s a long way to go until the end of the season. What’s important is trying to achieve our challenge and target.
“Of course this win gives us great belief for everyone and confidence. We are now in the next stage of the Champions League. But now it’s so important to compete against Crystal Palace. Like a manager you can’t stop thinking.”

Pochettino’s comments were praised by former Spurs ace Glenn Hoddle, a pundit for BT Sport for their coverage of Tottenham’s stunning win.
Hoddle hailed Pochettino’s interview, praising the Argentine for not getting swept up in the emotion of the game.
He said: “What a fantastic interview. He will keep the young lads in that team on the ground
“He doesn’t go over the top when they lose, or when they win. He’s so calm.”

Pochettino is sensibly already turning his attention to Tottenham’s next match, and he will not accept a dip in performance.
Spurs will be heavy favourites to beat Crystal Palace, but disappointing results at home to Burnley and Swansea should be enough warning to his players that they must raise their game for the ‘smaller’ matches as well as producing in the big games at Wembley, where they are really finding their stride now.
