The Tottenham Hotspur legend has been rewarded for his contributions on the pitch.
Former Tottenham Hotspur player Glenn Hoddle has reacted on Twitter after being named the club’s best ever player.
The 59-year-old made 490 appearances for Tottenham and would later become their manager, but it is still a remarkable achievement to be named the best ever considering some of the superb footballers to have pulled on a Spurs shirt in the past.
Most of those made the best ever team, which was announced at the launch of Harry Harris’s new book, Down Memory Lane.
Taking to social media after collecting his award, Hoddle wrote, “Huge honour to be named in the greatest Spurs team ever yesterday.”
It certainly was, and Hoddle can reflect on a superb career knowing just how highly he is rated at White Hart Lane, even now.
Tottenham’s current side are preparing for their Champions League group game against Bayer Leverkusen at Wembley this evening knowing they have a great chance of reaching the knockout stages.
