Tottenham Hotspur host Manchester United at Wembley on transfer deadline day.

Spurs currently find themselves fifth in the Premier League table, five points adrift of Liverpool following the Reds’ emphatic win at Huddersfield last night.

Meanwhile, their next opponents are second, eight points ahead of Pochettino’s men. Hoddle has labelled Wednesday’s clash a must-win game for Tottenham, but suggested that he expects the home side to come out on top against Jose Mourinho’s side.

“It’s going to be terrific. It could end up a draw but I’m going for a 2-1 Spurs win. I think they’ll just get over the line.”
Spurs are undoubtedly on a decent run in the Premier League. They have not lost any of their last six league games, and Manchester City are the only team to have beaten them since the end of November.
However, some of that momentum may well have been lost following their most recent clash as Harry Kane needed to score a late equaliser to deny Newport County the chance to pull off a giant killing the fourth round of the FA Cup.
Pochettino selected a strong side for the trip to Rodney Parade, so it may not have done their confidence much good. But any belief that may have been lost will undoubtedly be restored if Hoddle’s prediction comes to fruition and Spurs bag the three points against United.
