Tottenham Hotspur were beaten 1-0 by Bayer Leverkusen in the Champions League yesterday.
Glenn Hoddle has told the London Evening Standard that Ben Davies and Jan Vertonghen are the only Tottenham Hotspur players who deserve any credit for their displays against Bayer Leverkusen yesterday.
Spurs slipped to a 1-0 defeat against Leverkusen at Wembley in the Champions League, and their performance in the contest was awful.

Tottenham looked well below their best, as they struggled against the Bundesliga side.
And Hoddle bemoaned every Tottenham midfielder’s display, labelling them all as ‘non-existent’.
“Ben Davies had a decent game, Jan Vertonghen maybe but other than that the rest were way off colour,” Hoddle, who was recently named as Spurs greatest ever player, said.

“The midfield was non existent. They got out-gunned. You need a game changer who can create something when the team is not playing well.”
Tottenham’s defeat against Leverkusen means that they will now have to win their next two Champions League matches to stand a chance of qualifying from their group.
The loss also extends Mauricio Pochettino’s winless streak to six matches.
Tottenham are next in action on Sunday, when they take on Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium in the North London derby.
