Glenn Hoddle is backing Tottenham to qualify for the knockout stages of the Champions League.
Pundit Glenn Hoddle has been quoted by Four Four Two as saying that he thinks Tottenham will squeeze through their Champions League group.
Spurs have gone five games without a win in all competitions after Saturday’s 1-1 draw, with just three goals scored in those five games – two of which were penalties by striker Vincent Janssen.

On Wednesday, Tottenham are back in Champions League action, as they host Bayer Leverkusen at Wembley Stadium, with Spurs playing their European games away from White Hart Lane last season.
The effect of playing away from their usual home was clear in the first game of the competition, as Spurs lost 2-1 at home to Monaco before grabbing a 1-0 win away at CSKA Moscow and a 0-0 draw at Leverkusen.
Tottenham will be desperate to end that winless run on Wednesday night, especially given that they’re in a highly competitive Group E, with Spurs in second place, one point behind leaders Monaco.

However, they’re only two points clear of bottom side Leverkusen and one point ahead of CSKA Moscow, meaning that Mauricio Pochettino’s men need points to book their place in the knockout stages of the Champions League.
Ahead of Wednesday’s clash, former Spurs midfielder and manager Glenn Hoddle has been quoted by Four Four Two as saying that Tottenham need to go on the attack from the off against Leverkusen to try and get the win.
Hoddle added his prediction, stating that he thinks Tottenham will scrape through the group and into the last 16, backing them to see off their upcoming challenge to get over the line.

“I think this is a real crossroads in this group,” said Hoddle. “There’s been so many draws. It’s such an open group, but there comes a time in the group stages where you have to set a marker. At home now to the Germans, we’ve got to go out there and win the game. There’s no doubt about it.”
“We’ve been in a run of draws. A draw is no good I’m afraid. We’ve really got to be aggressive, we’ve got to go for the throat. We’ve got to make sure that if there is nearly 90,000 in that stadium again that they’re getting used to it a little bit more and they can get behind behind the team in bulk. I think that will make a difference for the team.”
“There’s a lot of challenges ahead but I’m sure Spurs can do it. I fancy them to just get over the line,” he added.
