Everton have been linked with Watford manager Marco Silva.

According to BBC Sport, Everton were willing to pay about £10m in compensation for Silva, but Watford have turned down their advances.
The Toffees are looking for a permanent successor to Ronald Koeman, with David Unsworth in temporary charge of the first team at the moment.
Tottenham legend Hoddle has suggested that if Everton have to pay £20m for Silva, then they should pay it.

Hoddle told ITV Football about Silva: “He looks a good prospect for Everton, but they have got to go and get him.
“If it means paying the money, they have got to pay it. Who is the most important person at a football club? The manager. And if you have to pay money, £20m, to get him, you pay £40m for a player.”

Meanwhile, former Liverpool forward Craig Bellamy has said that he is shocked that Watford are trying so hard to keep hold of Silva.
Ex-Everton star Phil Neville believes that Watford are unwilling to let Silva go now in order to to bid time for a replacement, while former Chelsea midfielder Andy Townsend has said that if Unsworth was going to get the managerial job at Goodison Park, then he would have got it by now.
Neville told Sky Sports: “I think Watford may be thinking, ‘We don’t want a situation like Everton have got where you sack a manager and don’t have somebody to come in’. They might be looking for his successor now.”
Bellamy told Sky Sports: “I am in shock Watford are trying this hard to keep a manager.”
Townsend told Sky Sports: “If David Unsworth was going to get the job, they would have appointed him by now.”
