Glenn Hoddle has claimed that Hugo Lloris was in a state of ‘panic’ again during Tottenham’s 3-2 win at Manchester City, as he told PL Productions (19/02/22 at 6:25 pm).
The former Spurs player thinks Lloris’s mistake for Man City’s opening goal stemmed because of what happened against Wolves previously.
It was an up and down afternoon in Manchester for Lloris, who would have been kicking himself at that mistake, but he was equally producing a number of high-quality saves.
Tottenham’s £12 million man (BBC Sport) has proven during his career that he can at times produce these error-prone ways.
And Tottenham legend, Hoddle, touched upon Lloris yesterday at the Etihad.
“There is a tad of panic in there,” said Hoddle. “He tries to grab the ball rather than to see if he can save it.
“What we are seeing here is that is off the back of last week. If he is in good form and confident, then that is simple for him.
“But he has gone down there for me in a panic again.”

In the end, it was quite a stunning victory for Antonio Conte’s men and further signs that all is well in the camp.
Despite the noise outside of Hotspur Way coming into the game, the players did their talking on the pitch backed with the manager’s near-perfect tactical set-up.
Even though the Premier League champions levelled the scores against the north London club twice, they still managed to pull ahead.
And the most important moment of all came when Harry Kane nodded home in stoppage-time to seal yet another dramatic win on the road for his side.
