Mauricio Pochettino’s Tottenham Hotspur side made great progress in the Champions League last night.

Eriksen was almost Tottenham’s villain last night, when he gave the ball away cheaply in injury time, and allowed City to score.
Raheem Sterling thought he had hit the goal to put City into the next round, but Eriksen could breath a sigh of relief when the strike was chalked off due to VAR.
Tottenham ended up progressing, which meant that Eriksen got away with his error.
But Hoddle admitted after the game that he was still baffled by Eriksen’s poor decision making in the final moments.
Hoddle said: “What Eriksen was doing, I do not know. He’s got to shield it and go away to the corner!”

Eriksen’s performance in the contest before his moment of madness was generally encouraging.
All has been forgiven from Tottenham fans now anyway, after a quite remarkable performance from their side yesterday.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side showed great courage to progress, despite injuries ravaging their squad.
Tottenham will now face Ajax in the semi-final for the right to earn a place in the final of Europe’s elite competition.
