Rangers midfielder Glen Kamara has told Glasgow Live that talks have stared over a new contract to stay at Ibrox.
The 25-year-old has been outstanding for Rangers this season, playing a key role in their Scottish Premiership title win.
A bargain signing from Dundee in January 2019, Kamara has proven to be sensational value for money and ultimately one of the best signings of the Steven Gerrard era.
Rangers would be wise to get Kamara tied down to a new deal, given that he will be playing for Finland at this summer’s European Championships.
If Kamara impresses, clubs could swarm for his signature – and with just over two years left on his deal, Rangers may now look to keep him at Ibrox.
TEAMtalk reported back in October that the likes of Leeds United, Everton, Borussia Dortmund, Monaco and Newcastle United are all in the race for Kamara.

Kamara has now admitted that there have been ‘some talks’ over signing a new deal to stay put at Ibrox, noting that he still has plenty of time to make a decision.
Kamara thinks he will know more about his future this summer, but Rangers will certainly hope to have a deal set up before the Euros.
“There’s been some talks,” said Kamara. “The season has been good, we just became champions and it’s been a success so far. I’ve still got two years left of my contract so there’s still some time to see what happens and I think over the summer I’ll have more of an indication,” he added.
