Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool are the foreign club most active in chasing Torino central defender Gleison Bremer, according to TMW.

Juventus, Inter Milan and Napoli are the Italian clubs who are keen on signing Bremer.

The 24-year-old is out of contact at Torino in the summer of 2023.

The Serie A outfit want to extend the contract of the defender.

Bremer is reportedly valued at €25 million (£21.23m).

Do Liverpool need Gleison Bremer?

The first thing that you would ask when you see a defender linked with Liverpool is that they do not need any more.

And indeed Liverpool do not need another centre-back.

Right now.

Virgil van Dijk, Joe Gomez and Joel Matip are back from injury.

Ibrahima Konate joined Liverpool only in the summer of 2021.

Nathaniel Phillips is still at Anfield.

And let’s not forget that Rhys Williams, Ben Davies and Sepp van den Berg are out on loan.

However, in targeting Bremer, we think that Liverpool are planning for the future.

Bremer is still only 24, and his vacation of €25 million (£21.23m) is really not that high.

Matip is not getting any younger, while the likes of Phillips and Davies may not have long-term futures at Liverpool.
