Glasgow Rangers have several ‘really talented’ players in the Ibrox academy hoping to give Steven Gerrard food for thought, suggests McCrorie.

Glasgow Rangers midfielder Ross McCrorie has issued an exciting update for the Ibrox faithful regarding a number of talented players within the academy, as reported by Herald Scotland.
The 21-year-old Gers ace has impressed at the Ibrox outfit since coming through the ranks and early last year he penned a new deal at Rangers along with his brother, goalkeeper Robby McCrorie (Daily Record).
In 2018-19, Ross made 31 appearances in all competitions, including 11 starts in the Scottish Premiership (Transfermarkt), as the Ibrox club finished second in the table, and with a big season ahead of them, he will fancy his chances of more game time.
Nonetheless, McCrorie hopes that he can play his part in developing the next generation of Ibrox stars by offering them words of advice and, crucially, admitted that there are “a few” stars which he expects to break into the first team like he did, which will be music to Bears’ ears.

“There are a really talented bunch of players at 18s and 20s and you can see that reflected in the cup wins and the league wins they got this season,” McCrorie told Herald Scotland.
“I am sure soon, maybe even next season and over the next couple of seasons, you will see them coming through. There are a few there… the aim for the club is bring in one or two every season and I am sure the boys have been well prepared coming up through the academy and they will be able to cope with it.”
In 2018-19, Gers lifted both the Under-18 and Reserve Leagues as well as the Scottish FA Youth Cup, the CAS Inder-16 cup and the Alkass Tournament in Qatar (official Rangers website).
