Glasgow Rangers striker Michael O’Halloran teamed up with Clint Hill at Ibrox last season.

O’Halloran and Hill were teammates at Ibrox last season, but both were moved on in the summer.
Hill was released by Rangers, while O’Halloran moved to St. Johnstone on loan – with Pedro Caixinha having doubts about the striker.

O’Halloran’s attitude was called into question by Rangers fans on occasion, but Hill insists that the 26-year-old was not at all lazy.
The veteran defender, who now plays for Carlisle United, said: “Michael was another good guy and he was on fire at St Johnstone where he hit the ground running after his move away. I heard Tommy Wright saying he couldn’t get a hold of his agent so I don’t know the whole story but he’s another lad who will go back to Ibrox and want to prove a few people wrong.

“I know there might have been a few people criticising his attitude but I can assure you he was never lazy. We all have different opinions of players but Michael, like Andy, gave everything he had.
“I’m sure he’ll want to do well for the club if he does end up going back.”
O’Halloran scored five goals in 11 appearances for St. Johnstone, but he is yet to make much of an impact at Rangers since signing back in 2016.
O’Halloran has never been given a run of games at Ibrox, which has stopped him finding form.
If O’Halloran can hit the top of his game, then it will be a boost for Rangers, as they have relied heavily on Alfredo Morelos for goals this season.
Rangers are currently in third place in the Scottish Premiership table, with their next competitive match coming against Fraserburgh on 21st January.
