Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers’ boss Steven Gerrard is said want Kevin McDonald from Fulham.

Glasgow Rangers signing Kevin McDonald would highlight their progress, considering they missed out on him earlier this year.

Rangers wanted McDonald when Pedro Caixinha was in charge at Ibrox, as reported by the print edition of The Sun (9th January, page 50).

However, Rangers failed to complete a deal at that time, with Fulham rejecting their offers.

The Light Blues are now back in for the defensive midfielder according to the Daily Record.

And if Rangers could bring in McDonald now it would prove the advancement that they have made off the pitch as well as on it over 2018.

McDonald’s arrival at Ibrox would also help to improve Steven Gerrard’s side.

The 33-year-old is a fine technician and his ability to dictate play could be crucial to Rangers over the second half of the season.
