Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers have taken Jason Cummings on loan from Nottingham Forest until the end of the season.

According to a report in the Daily Record, Glasgow Rangers can sign Jason Cummings for £1 million in the summer, and at that price it looks like a no-brainer to bring him in.

Rangers are said to have agreed a £1 million fee with Nottingham Forest for the striker, which can be activated in the summer transfer window, and they should take up their option.

Cummings may not yet have established himself as a permanent starter for the Light Blues, but he has proven he can score goals.

The 22-year-old has hit the back of the net six times during his time at Ibrox so far, and he has only made five starts.

Cummings still has a lot of room to develop, and at £1 million he would be a relatively low risk addition.

Rangers are unlikely to make a huge loss of Cummings, even if his transfer doesn’t work out, but if he fulfils his potential then the profit they could make would be vast.

Goalscoring forwards are expensive commodities in modern day football, and Cummings has all the tools in his armoury to become a key player for Rangers in the future.

And if Rangers can snap him up so cheaply, then Graeme Murty shouldn’t have to think twice about doing the deal.
