Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers are on the hunt for new additions in the January transfer window.

According to goal.com, Ethan Ampadu is keen to leave Chelsea in January, and Glasgow Rangers should look to snap the youngster up.

Ampadu has failed to break into Chelsea’s line-up this term, and now wants to seek a loan switch until the end of the season, which should alert Rangers.

Ampadu would be a brilliant addition to Steven Gerrard’s squad over the second half of the campaign.

The Daily Express say that Rangers are interested in signing four new players in January, and Ampadu should be one of them.

The Welsh international would be the ideal addition to Rangers’ squad, as he would bring qualities that they have been missing.

Rangers have struggled to find a defensive midfielder this season, with Lassana Coulibaly’s form dipping in recent weeks.

Ampadu, though, would offer Rangers great ability in possession and strong defensive qualities.

And if Rangers could persuade him to move to Ibrox then Steven Gerrard’s side would be making a brilliant signing.
