Glasgow Rangers loanee Davis will join the Ibrox side permanently in the summer from Saints.

Glasgow Rangers have confirmed that Steven Davis’s loan at the Ibrox club from Southampton will be turned into a permanent move in the summer.
The 34-year-old Northern Ireland international began his second spell at the Scottish Premiership club in January and has made 16 appearances since the turn of the year.
Davis previously enjoyed a successful five-year spell at the Ibrox club after joining in 2007 before leaving in 2012 for St Mary’s Stadium where he has had a fruitful stint.
It took a while for the midfielder to get back to his best after getting little game time for Southampton in the first half of the season but Steven Gerrard thinks Rangers fans are now seeing the best of him.
“He looks sharp, is covering all round the pitch, winning the ball back, intercepting balls and looking aggressive,” he told the Rangers website. “That is why we brought him back in January and why we want him as part of this squad going forward.”
Asked about his time at Southampton, Davis replied: “I thoroughly enjoyed it, and it was a great club to be a part of. It was a great place, I felt like I improved as a player on and off the pitch, so I have nothing but good things to say about Southampton.”
His comments were thoroughly appreciated by the Saints fanbase and some fans took to Twitter to praise the player ahead of his permanent departure from the south coast club:
Davis won three Scottish league titles, two Scottish Cups, three League Cups and reached the UEFA Cup final during his first spell at Ibrox.
