Ryan Jack has told Glasgow Rangers’ official website that Pedro Caixinha’s transfer plans were part of the reason why he has signed up at Ibrox.

Jack had plenty of interest in him, following the expiration of his contract at Aberdeen.

However, the central-midfielder opted to move to Rangers, after meeting with Caixinha and hearing his plans for the future.

“From what I’ve heard the club are making a few signings and bringing in a good calibre of player, so it’s exciting times and I know there are really good players already here as well,” he said.

Jack has signed a three-year deal at Rangers, and he becomes the Glasgow side’s second addition of the summer.

Rangers have already brought in experienced Bruno Alves, and more new arrivals are expected to follow.

Rangers could have as many as six new signings tied up within the next fortnight, as Caixinha steps up his recruitment drive (Scottish Sun).

Caixinha has promised that Rangers will close the gap on Celtic next term, after being left behind by their rivals this season.
