Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers have brought in both Jon Toral and Emerson Hyndman recently.

Glasgow Rangers midfielder Andy Halliday has told the Glasgow Evening Times that he has been impressed with Jon Toral and Emerson Hyndman in training.

Toral and Hyndman have both joined Rangers on loan until the end of the season, from Arsenal and Bournemouth respectively.

And Halliday is pleased with the two new arrivals, as he believes they will add quality at Ibrox.

“The new boys, Jon and Emerson, can help us in midfield. We’ve been unfortunate so far this season to get injuries in that department,” he said.

“We’ve been light in numbers and the gaffer wanted to get boys in. They’re two good additions.

“The Leipzig game was a tough one to come into but they’ve looked good in training.

Halliday could face increased competition for a starting place following the additions of Toral and Hyndman.

The pair both inject extra quality in Rangers’ midfield, as Mark Warburton’s side look to consolidate their place in second in the Scottish Premiership table.

Rangers have a number of clubs trying to catch them, and they will be keen to hold off their challenges, to claim a place in Europe.

Both Hyndman and Toral could make their competitive Rangers’ debuts at the weekend, when the Light Blues take on Motherwell in the Cup.
