Michel Preud’homme was linked to Rangers after Pedro Caixinha’s sacking.

Michel Preud’homme was one of the early applicants for the Glasgow Rangers job after Pedro Caixinha was fired in October/
The Daily Record reported how Preud’homme applied and hoped to lead the Ibrox giants.
He has previous experience managing in Belgium, Holland and Saudi Arabia.

Rangers were not convinced and ended up giving the job to caretaker boss Graeme Murty.
It is reported he is keen on the Belgium international job or the Standard Liege post, if either become available.
Could he still end up at Rangers?
Graeme Murty only has a contract with the Gers until the end of the season but he has performed well on the whole.
The downside has come in recent weeks, with a loss at home to Celtic and subsequent defeat to Kilmarnock.
The cup-semi final against Celtic next month could decide his fate.

Rangers were keen after Pedro Caixinha’s disastrous spell to appoint a British manager, rather than risk more upheaval with another foreign boss like Preud’homme.
It would be a surprise if they went against this in the summer, but the Belgian could still be a long shot option for the Gers if he is still looking and the Rangers board seek to re-evaluate their options.
