Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers were said to be hunting Niall McGinn during the summer transfer window.

Glasgow Rangers have surely missed out on their chance to sign Niall McGinn now, with Gwangju valuing the winger at £5 million.

The Irish Sun suggested that Rangers wanted to sign McGinn from Aberdeen in the summer transfer window, but Pedro Caixinha’s men were unable to get a deal over the line.

Niall McGinn of Aberdeen controls the ball during the Betfred Cup Final between Aberdeen and Celtic at Hampden Park on November 27, 2016 in Glasgow, Scotland.

McGinn, instead, opted to move to South Korean outfit Gwangju, and his stock his significantly risen.

The Daily Mirror claim that Gwangju have slapped a £5 million price tag on McGinn, on page 46 of their printed edition, which was published on 16th October.

If McGinn is now that expensive, Rangers appear to have missed out of the chance to bring the Northern Irish man to Ibrox.

McGinn may have an impressive record in Scottish football, but he is now 30-years-old and has little resale value.

And it seems that Rangers will have to look elsewhere in January, if they do want to strengthen their attack.
