Glasgow Rangers supporters have called for Santi Cazorla to come and join them at Ibrox.

With Steven Gerrard in charge, Rangers’ fans are starting to dream of big signings again – and Cazorla would certainly fit that billing.

The Spaniard’s departure from Arsenal was announced yesterday, and there is no doubting that he would be a risky signing for Rangers, given his past record with injury.

But the Ibrox side’s supporters appear to be hoping that the diminutive Spaniard would like a move to Glasgow.

If Cazorla was to arrive at Rangers, he would almost certainly have to take a significant wage cut from the salary he was on at Arsenal.

The 33-year-old would be the most technical gifted player in Scotland if he was to arrive at Ibrox though.

And if Rangers could keep Cazorla off the treatment table there is little doubting that he would be a stunning addition to Gerrard’s squad for next season.

Gerrard has already been busy in the transfer market since arriving at Rangers, with Scott Arfield and Jamie Murphy joining.
