Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers sent Greg Docherty out on loan soon after Steven Gerrard took charge.

Glasgow Rangers fans are hoping that Greg Docherty returns to Ibrox in January, after his impressive form on loan at Shrewsbury Town continued last night.
Steven Gerrard quickly loaned out Docherty after taking charge at Rangers, as he deemed the midfielder to be surplus to requirements.
However, the 22-year-old is sure to have caught Gerrard’s eye with his performances in League One.
Docherty has played a key role for the Shrews, and he scored a wonderful goal in his temporary side’s 3-1 win over Salford City in the FA Cup last night, with the game broadcast live on television.
Plenty of Rangers fans were watching the match, and they were all impressed by Docherty’s performance.
Docherty actually made a very bright start at Rangers when he first arrived last January, but his form did take a dip towards the end of the season.
If he was to return to Ibrox he would have plenty of competition for a first-team place in Gerrard’s squad, as Rangers have a lot of options to pick from in central midfield.
