Kyle Lafferty has expressed his desire to return to Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers in the near future.

Kyle Lafferty has been talking up the potential for a move to Ibrox (Daily Record), and his previous comments about joining Celtic should remind Glasgow Rangers fans all about his passion for the Light Blues.
Lafferty joined Rangers back in 2008, at a time when Celtic were also interested in him.
And the forward admitted then that he could never see himself playing for the Bhoys, as representing Rangers was such an honour for him.
“Gordon Strachan really wanted me and I think there were two or three transfer windows where he tried to sign me,” Lafferty said to the Belfast Telegraph seven years ago.

“But once I heard Rangers wanted me too my mind was made up instantly.
“I had to be honest with Gordon. I didn’t want to tag him along. I thought it was the best way to be.
“I didn’t want to tell Gordon I wanted to play for Celtic knowing deep down that I didn’t.
“My heart wouldn’t have been in it if I’d gone to Celtic. It was an easy choice for me to join Rangers.”
Lafferty ended up spending four years with Rangers, before departing the Glasgow side in 2012.
Lafferty disappointed Rangers fans when he left Ibrox, but his past comments are a reminder of how much he cares about the club.
Lafferty’s career has also not really taken off since he left Glasgow, with spells at Sion, Palermo and Norwich City all not proving to be hugely productive.
If Lafferty was to move back to Rangers, he would likely become their main man up-front, as they look to close the gap on the Celtic in the coming years.
