Rangers have been linked with bringing another Osijek player to Ibrox.

Croatian striker Mirko Maric has been scouted by Rangers’ recruitment team, the Daily Record report.

He is also said to be represented by the same agency as Rangers stars Borna Barisic and Eros Grezda, who Rangers signed from Osijek earlier in the season.

Barisic has had mixed success, with Grezda disappointing. Both players’ seasons have been overshadowed by injuries.

Maric, 23, is enjoying the best season of his career, netting 16 goals in all competitions.

The questions for Rangers centre around, is Maric good enough, and are there better options around for the £3 million fee touted.

Subsequently, players will be affected by a potential Maric arrival.

Kyle Lafferty is a likely loser, with Maric playing with the same style as the Northern Irishman.
