Former Rangers goalkeeper Cammy Bell launched a scathing attack on Mark Warburton in an interview with the Scottish Sun this weekend.

Bell, who left Rangers last summer for Dundee United, criticised his old boss’ signings, accused him of lacking a plan B and suggested he couldn’t handle the scrutiny that comes with managing the country’s most successful club.

The 30-year-old is not alone in sticking the boot into Warburton following the Englishman’s acrimonious departure from Ibrox this month, along with assistant boss David Weir and director of football Frank McParland.

And tough many Rangers fans appear to agree with Bell’s assessment, the two-time promotion winner has not come off at all well on social media.

One of Warburton’s first acts as Rangers boss was to bring in Wes Foderingham and immediately install him as the Gers’ number one, ahead of Bell.

And with Bell also claiming the 54-year-old denied him a chance to move to Aberdeen on loan midway through last season, it’s perhaps no surprise that the once-capped Scotland international would hold Warburton in such low esteem.
