Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers are said to be interested in bringing back Allan McGregor.

Glasgow Rangers fans are largely divided over whether Allan McGregor should be brought back to Ibrox.

The Scottish Sun have suggested that McGregor is on his way back to Rangers, with his contract at Hull City set to expire at the end of the season.

McGregor broke through Rangers’ youth academy and represented them for 11 years in his younger days, when he became a popular figure.

Allan McGregor of Hull City gives the thumbs up during the Sky Bet Championship match between Hull City and Huddersfield Town at KC Stadium on August 8, 2015 in Hull, England.

However, there are still some Rangers fans who hold a grudge over the way he departed. While others are concerned that McGregor, at the age of 36, is now past his peak.

That does not mean to say that all of Rangers’ support is against the idea of the Scottish international making a return to Ibrox though, as many Light Blues fans are eager to see the goalkeeper back.

If McGregor does return to Rangers, as expected, he will be in competition with Jak Alnwick and Wes Foderingham for a first-team place.
