Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers defender Bruno Alves did not feature at all against Hamilton.

Glasgow Rangers fans have taken to Twitter to criticise Graeme Murty for not picking Bruno Alves.

According to The Times, Alves refused to be a substitute during Rangers’ defeat to Hamilton.

While many Rangers fans have had some difficulty believing the reports, others have suggested that they wouldn’t even blame the Portuguese international if he did not want to sit on the bench.

Murty has picked Danny Wilson alongside Ross McCrorie at the back during his time in charge at Ibrox so far.

And Rangers fans are fuming that the 36-year-old defender is not being selected by Murty.

Murty is only set to be in temporary charge at Rangers, so Alves’ absence could be short lived.

Rangers are still on the look out for Pedro Caixinha’s replacement, after sacking the Portuguese boss over three weeks ago.

Rangers are next in action against Dundee at Dens Park on Friday, when Alves may be hoping to feature.
