Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers have made great progress under Steven Gerrard so far.

Gerrard occasionally joins in with sessions at Rangers, if he has to fill in for an injured player.
And Worrall has always been very impressed by his manager’s ability to pass the ball.
“He joins in when we have an injury or a man goes off,” Worrall said.
“He has still got it and can still zing a ball. He still wants to be on the pitch. He always comes out in his boots and his shorts and joins in the passing boxes. He must be itching to still play but his time as a player has gone.”

Gerrard’s achievements in his career obviously far surpass any player’s in his Rangers squad.
But he has never suggested that a return to playing at Ibrox is something that he has considered.
Gerrard is firmly focused on management now, and he has made an encouraging start at Rangers.
Gerrard has unquestionably improved his side since taking charge, and they are just two points off the top of the league now.
Rangers are next in action at the weekend when they take on Livingston.
