Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers were beaten at the weekend, with Steven Gerrard’s side badly disappointing.

Rangers had received plenty of praise for the way that they have started the season under Steven Gerrard, but they let a massive opportunity slip at the weekend.
Rangers were beaten 1-0 by Livingston, which meant that they slipped all the way down into sixth place in the Scottish Premiership table.
And Tavernier said: “The fans should be disappointed, they turned out in their numbers to support us and we haven’t put on a good enough performance to back it up.
“They travel from everywhere, they pay their money and today wasn’t good enough from the boys and we know that in the dressing room. I only can apologise on behalf of the boys for the performance.”

Tavernier started for Rangers at the weekend, but the right-back didn’t pose his usual attacking threat.
Indeed, Rangers just couldn’t break down what was a resilient Livingston defence.
The Gers never really looked like scoring, with Gerrard’s side putting in a very disappointing performance.
Rangers’ are next in action on Thursday evening, when they take on Rapid Wien in the Europa League.
