Wales fans have praised Glasgow Rangers defender Declan John for his performance against China this afternoon.

John’s excellent form since moving to Ibrox has taken him back into the international fold, and the Rangers man was selected to start against China.

John played 90 minutes for his nation, as they picked up a dominant 6-0 victory.

And the Rangers star has drawn big praise on social media website Twitter for his display.

John’s positive showing is testament to how much he has progressed since moving to Rangers.

John’s career had stalled at Cardiff, but a move to Glasgow seems to have revived it.

The 22-year-old is now playing a key role at club level, and he could have a big future for Wales too.

Declan John of Rangers is seen in action during the Betfred League Cup Quarter Final at Firhill Stadium on September 19, 2017 in Glasgow, Scotland.

Wales’ win over China has put them into the final of the friendly international tournament, where they will meet the winners of Uruguay’s match against the Czech Republic.

Rangers fans will be hoping John can make it through the international break unscathed, with their next competitive fixture coming against Motherwell in two weekends’ time.
