Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers are said to be in competition with Aston Villa to sign Ryan Kent.

Glasgow Rangers’ hopes of landing Ryan Kent may just have taken a blow.
Aston Villa are said to be rivalling Rangers for £10 million-rated Kent this summer by the Scottish Sun, and Dean Smith’s side’s promotion yesterday surely boosts their chances of landing the winger.
Kent has enjoyed a wonderful season at Rangers, and he has gone on record to state how much he has enjoyed his time at Ibrox.
Rangers are trying to work on a deal with Liverpool to bring the 22-year-old in permanently.
But Villa may just have the financial strength to be able to muscle in on any deal.
The claret and blues earned promotion back to the Premier League yesterday, and they are expected to invest heavily in the summer.

If Villa had failed to win at Wembley they would have had to take cost cutting measures, making any deal for Kent look difficult, but top flight football in England is worth so much that the claret and blues can now spend in the upcoming transfer window.
And Rangers’ task of getting Kent back to Ibrox next term looks set to become even more difficult now.
