Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers have not played Carlos Pena once in 2018.

Pena joined Rangers during Pedro Caixinha’s time in charge for £2.7 million (Daily Star), but has not played at all during 2018.
Gerrard has completely overlooked the central midfielder, and it is not clear what Rangers’ plans for him are.
Indeed, when Gerrard was asked about Pena’s whereabouts today, he only give some very brief responses.
‘No [he’s not rejoined the squad],” Gerrard said, when asked if Pena was training with Rangers.
The Rangers boss then was asked whether his time at Rangers was at an end, and he simply responded: “Don’t know.”

It seems highly unlikely that Pena will ever play at Ibrox again, as Rangers have strengthened even further this month.
Rangers have brought in Steven Davis, which knocks Pena down the pecking order even more.
Pena is on a sizeable salary at Rangers, and the sooner they can get him off their books the better it would be for the Glasgow side, if he continues to be overlooked.
