Glasgow Rangers beat Celtic 2-0 at Ibrox yesterday, with Steven Gerrard’s side now six points behind their rivals.

Rangers have closed the gap on Celtic this term, and currently sit six points behind their Glasgow rivals.
Gerrard’s men managed to beat Celtic 2-0 at Ibrox yesterday, which has increased excitement that Rangers could really challenge them for the Scottish Premiership title next term.
But Gerrard thinks that Rangers cannot afford to rest on their laurels, as he expects Celtic to improve over the summer.
“Celtic aren’t going to go away. They’re going to improve. There’s still a target for us which is to try and knock them off their perch,” he said.
“We are very respectful to the challenge but we have to take confidence from games like this.”

There is great uncertainty around Celtic right now, as the club still appear to be recovering from Brendan Rodgers’ departure.
It is not clear who Celtic’s manager will be next term, with Neil Lennon’s future very insecure.
Rangers, meanwhile, have already been plotting for the summer when further additions are expected to be made at Ibrox.
