Ibrox side Rangers finished nine points behind Celtic in the Scottish Premiership table last term.

Gerrard has made no secret of his desire to win the title with Rangers ever since he arrived at Ibrox, but he was unable to stop Celtic’s dominance last term.
The Bhoys picked up all three domestic trophies as they completed the treble treble, with Rangers ending the campaign empty handed.
Rangers have responded to their failure to win the league by strengthening heavily over the summer, with Gerrard bringing in a host of new players.
And the Rangers boss thinks that his side can threaten Celtic this upcoming season.
“There were a lot of eye opening things last year. This year I’m quite content where we are,” he said.
“I’m confident we can put a better challenge up this year. Having said that, there’s a lot of work ahead and still some improving to do so we’ll keep pushing in every area we can.”

Celtic have lost some key players already this summer, and Kieran Tierney’s future is in a lot of doubt, which is a boost to Rangers.
The Gers do still have work to do if they are to catch Neil Lennon’s side though, as they finished nine points behind their Glasgow rivals last term.
