Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers are said to be interested in Hearts winger Jamie Walker.

Pedro Caixinha has batted aside questions over whether Glasgow Rangers could move for Hearts’ Jamie Walker when asked at his latest press conference.

Rangers have been linked with Walker throughout the summer so far, and the Scotsman claim that the attacker’s head has been turned by the interest.

Rangers are still in for Walker, but Caixinha was not prepared to offer an update when prompted as his press conference.

If Walker did join Rangers he would join a whole host of new faces at Ibrox and strengthen Caixinha’s attacking ranks.

Rangers’ new signings initially appeared to need time to bed in, with Caixinha’s side crashing out of the Europa League.

However, Rangers have looked much improved in recent weeks in their friendly matches.

Rangers picked up a credible victory over Sheffield Wednesday recently, and head into the season with confidence growing.

Rangers get their league campaign under way with a match against Motherwell at Fir Park on Sunday.

Jamie Walker of Hearts celebrates his goal during the Ladbrokes Scottish Premiership match between Hearts and Celtic on August 7, 2016 in Glasgow, Edinburgh.
