Glasgow Rangers striker Martyn Waghorn has been linked with a move away from Ibrox recently.

Glasgow Rangers boss Mark Warburton has insisted that Martyn Waghorn has a future at Ibrox at his latest press conference.

Waghorn’s future at Rangers has come into question in recent weeks, with reports surfacing in The Sun suggesting that the striker is looking for a move away.

The Sun have claimed that both Fulham and Bristol City are interested in signing Waghorn in the January transfer window, with the Glasgow side wanting £400,000 for the forward (Bristol Post).

However, Warburton insists that he does not want Waghorn to leave Rangers – and the pair have laughed off suggestions that they have had a fall out.

Waghorn finished last season as Rangers’ top scorer, but his place at Ibrox has come under threat this time around.

Waghorn has struggled with the step up to the Scottish Premiership, and has not scored as frequently.

The likes of Joe Garner and Kenny Miller appear to be ahead of him in Rangers’ selection order currently, while Joe Dodoo is also aiming to earn a place up-front.

Waghorn could feature for Rangers when they take on Dundee on Saturday.
