Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers are set to welcome back three new players.

Glasgow Rangers boss Mark Warburton has told the Ibrox side’s official website that he was delighted to see Matt Crooks back in training this week.

Crooks joined Rangers from Accrington Stanley during the summer transfer window, but he has failed to make an impression at the Glasgow club.

Crooks is yet to make his debut for Rangers, but it seems that the young midfielder is edging closer to fitness.

Rangers are also set to be boosted by the news that Danny Wilson and Joe Dodoo are close to returning from injury.

“Danny Wilson has been out running this week and has done some light ball work, so that is positive,” Warburton said.

“We welcomed back Matt Crooks to full training this week which was nice to see, Joe Dodoo will be back in the full group this week, and again, great work by the team to get him back, so we are starting to get the bodies back, it’s the nature of the league that we have had a few injuries and it’s nice to have the choices.”

Crooks joined Rangers in a double-deal with Josh Windass, and he will be hoping to make a similar impact to his former Accrington teammate.

Windass has been one of Rangers’ star players so far this season, and he seems to be thriving at Ibrox.

Rangers are next in action against Ross County at the weekend, but that match is likely to come too soon for Windass to feature in.
