Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers are due to face Partick at Ibrox on Saturday afternoon.

Rangers manager Mark Warburton

Glasgow Rangers boss Mark Warburton has confirmed at his press conference that Josh Windass has won his race to be fit in time for the weekend.

Rangers are set to face Partick on Saturday at Ibrox, and Windass was in some doubt for the fixture.

The summer signing had been nursing a slight injury, but he has come through training unscathed and will be back in time to play on Saturday.

Warburton also confirmed that Jordan Rossiter was close to making his return, but the former Liverpool man would not be available for Rangers’ match tomorrow.

Windass’ availability is a boost for Rangers, as the youngster has made an impressive start at Ibrox.

The 22-year-old has coped with the step up well, and been one of Rangers’ best performers over their disappointing start to the campaign.

Rangers have only taken nine points from their first seven matches this season, leaving them in a mid-table position.

Rangers are under pressure to start finding some form, but they could move up to second place if they are able to pick up the three points tomorrow.
