Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers ran out 2-1 winners over Hearts yesterday.

Rangers manager Graeme Murty is seen during the Ladbrokes Scottish Premiership match between Rangers and Aberdeen at Ibrox Stadium on January 24, 2018 in Glasgow, Scotland.

Graeme Murty has told the Daily Mail that he had no problems with Daniel Candeias’ celebration during Glasgow Rangers’ victory over Hearts at the weekend.

Candeias scored what proved to be Rangers’ winner at Ibrox yesterday, and his reaction to scoring has caused plenty of debate.

The Portuguese winger ran past Murty, to celebrate with Andy Halliday, who was on the bench.

Halliday was substituted off in the first-half of Rangers’ disastrous Old-Firm derby defeat to Celtic two weekends’ ago, and was clearly frustrated with Murty’s decision.

And many Rangers fans have suggested that Candeias’ celebration was to show support for his teammate, rather than his manager.

However, Murty had no problems with Candeias’ reaction to scoring.

Kieran Tierney of Celtic vies with Daniel Candeias of Rangersl during the Scottish Premier League match between Celtic and Ranger at Celtic Park on December 30, 2017 in Glasgow, Scotland.

He said: “I don’t know if it was pre-planned, I don’t know anything about it. But everyone was in.

“The atmosphere and spirit within the group has been good all week. I’ve told you this. If they want to make a public display about it, then more power to them.”

Jason Cummings scored Rangers’ other goal, in their 2-1 win over Hearts.

Rangers are next in action at the weekend, when they will have a chance to right the wrong of the last Old-Firm derby, when they take on Celtic.
