Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers are said to be considering Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard.

Danny Ings of Liverpool speaks with Jurgen Klopp, Manager of Liverpool during the Premier League match between Liverpool and Everton at Anfield on December 10, 2017 in Liverpool, England.

Glasgow Rangers fans think that Danny Ings could become a potential signing with Steven Gerrard closing in on taking the job at Ibrox (Daily Record).

Gerrard is almost certain to use some of his contacts at Liverpool in attempt to bring players to Rangers.

And there is a feeling that Ings could be a possible addition for the Glasgow in the summer.

Danny Ings of Liverpool warms up prior to the Premier League match between Everton and Liverpool at Goodison Park on April 7, 2018 in Liverpool, England.

Ings looks likely to leave Liverpool at the end of the season, after enduring a difficult time with injury of late.

And he would surely be an upgrade on Rangers’ current striking options, if he is to arrive.

Rangers fans are now hoping that an ambitious deal for the forward could be possible, if Gerrard does take the job.

Ings scored his first Liverpool goal of the season last weekend, when he found the back of the net against West Bromwich Albion.

If he was to arrive at Rangers, the striker would be in competition with Alfredo Morelos for a place-up front at Ibrox.
