Jordan Rossiter and Jerome Sinclair were in a rush to quit Jurgen Klopp’s side, but leaving Liverpool has not been easy for the Glasgow Rangers and Watford prospects.
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp
Jurgen Klopp is famed for his development of young players as a manager, so it was peculiar to see two of Liverpool’s top young prospects walk out on the club last summer.
Midfielder Jordan Rossiter quit the Reds to join Glasgow Rangers, while Jerome Sinclair pushed through a switch to Watford.
The desires of both was to fast-track their route to first team football, having become frustrated at their slow progression at Anfield.
Yet the gamble so far appears to have backfired for both players, and they are in worse positions career-wise for it.
Rossiter had an injury hit season at Rangers, following up similar fitness struggles he faced in his final few months at Anfield.

The Express report now that Rossiter could be ditched by new Rangers boss Pedro Caixinha, who is midway through a major squad overhaul.
Rossiter would likely be left having to find a club in the English Football League to take him on, with his career prospects damaged by his lost year at Ibrox.
Jerome Sinclair’s prospects are equally damaged. He made only one Premier League start for Watford, before being sent out on loan to Birmingham City.

His spell at St Andrew’s was no more productive, with Sinclair making only three starts.
Both players are in worse positions than they were a year ago, and while they would have had to take a gamble sooner or later, each would have been better off sticking around at Liverpool for another 12 months and working with Jurgen Klopp.
Each now face an uphill battle to get back on track.
