Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers and Brendan Rodgers’ Celtic men have added new players this month.

Glasgow Rangers’ and Celtic’s transfer approaches could hardly have been any different so far this window.

Rangers and Celtic have brought in new players already this month, as they aim to strengthen their squads for the title battle.

But Steven Gerrard’s and Brendan Rodgers’ side’s have taken completely different routes to strengthening their squads.

Rangers have looked for experience in their additions, with Jermain Defoe and Steven Davis both possessing a great deal of knowhow.

Even Glen Kamara and Jordan Jones, who Rangers have signed on pre-contracts, know the Scottish game well.

Celtic, on the other hand, have arguably taken the bigger risks with their signings so far this month.

Celtic have added Timothy Weah, Vakoun Issouf Bayo and Andrew Gutman is set to arrive soon.

The trio are all regarded as hot prospects, but they have no past experience of British football.

And it remains to be seen which one of Rangers’ or Celtic’s transfer strategies will turn out to be more productive over the remainder of the campaign.
