Lucas Moura has labelled Carlos Vinicius as a ‘warrior’ on his Instagram story after the striker reunited with Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday.

Antonio Conte’s side recorded a 2-1 win over the newly-promoted side and Vinicius came off the bench against his former club.

The 27-year-old was a deadline-day signing for Marco Silva’s men, after Fulham secured his services from Benfica.

For the 2020/21 Premier League campaign, Vinicius was a loan capture by the club, as he played a back-up role to Harry Kane, with Jose Mourinho in the dugout.

It didn’t work out for the player, as he moved to PSV on a loan deal for the following campaign and he has now since returned to England’s top-flight.

Vinicius’s fellow countryman, Moura posted an image on his IG story of the duo standing together and he issued this message to the Brazil striker.

“Glad to have you around again warrior,” said Moura. “Faith. Faith.”

NEW TEST FOR VINICIUS

At Tottenham, Vinicius was never going to dethrone Harry Kane as a striker, regardless of how well he was going to perform.

But his first taste in English football didn’t go as planned and usually that knockdown is hard to get back up from, but not for Vinicius.

Fulham, and most importantly their manager Silva, have seen something special in the player and he now has a chance to redeem himself.

The only issue now is that he has a certain Aleksandar Mitrovic ripping it up because he has six goals from six league games, after scoring 43 in 44 in the Championship.
