Gjanni Alioski has picked the four signings he would make if he was Leeds manager.

Gjanni Alioski has told Leeds’ official website that he would choose to sign three Real Madrid stars and another top-five Ballon d’Or nominee if he was in charge at Elland Road.

The Macedonia international spoke to Leeds’ website in the latest instalment of “You’re the Gaffer”, which has seen Luke Ayling, Kalvin Phillips and others answer questions on what they would do if they ever became manager of the Yorkshire club.

Last time around, defender Ayling picked former Leeds star Kyle Bartley as one of his four signings, as well as Lionel Messi, Manuel Neuer and Luka Modric.

Flying winger Alioski, 25, also picked Real Madrid central midfielder Modric, along with teammates Cristiano Ronaldo and Sergio Ramos as well as Juventus goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon who finished fourth in the Ballon d’Or rankings.

Alioski was also asked to pick his assistant manager, but decided on choosing four – one for every outfield position: “I’d need more than one, I’d bring in Gaetano Berardi, Pontus Jansson, Samuel Saiz and Caleb Ekuban,” Alioski said.

“I need them for different positions, Berardi can show the team how to fight and Pontus would be my bodyguard.”

Alioski is set to feature on Saturday as the Whites look to continue their impressive recent form with three points against Hull City at Elland Road.

Thomas Christiansen’s side come into the game with four wins in their last six, beating Norwich City last time out thanks to 26-year-old teammate Jansson’s winning goal.

Three points and Leeds could climb into the Championship play-off positions, with Sheffield United and Aston Villa going head to head with both sides on 37 points in fifth and sixth place.
