Tim Sherwood slammed Moussa Sissoko on Premier League Productions for giving Tottenham ‘nothing’ going forward during their defeat to Brighton on Sunday.
It was another game where Jose Mourinho came under the spotlight, as Spurs dropped more points in their race to finish in the Champions League places at the end of the season.
Even though Matt Doherty was on the bench, Mourinho opted to play Sissoko on the right-hand side, which was a tactic that didn’t work out with the £30 million player [BBC Sport].
Sherwood urged Mourinho to play more on the front foot after watching Tottenham’s most recent performance.
“Jose needs to show how good a manager he is now,” said Sherwood. “They need to start playing on the front foot.
“You need creativity on that pitch now. The workman-like players around the midfield. Fullbacks who just want to stay at home. Davies on one side. Aurier played the other day and was a disgrace.
“Sissoko on the right-hand side and giving us nothing going forward. Tottenham need to find a solution and Jose needs to find it fast.”

The last thing Mourinho needs is more heat added to the kitchen, but that’s exactly what he’s going to get on Thursday night.
Not only do Spurs take on their London rivals, but he faces off against his former club and there isn’t much love lost between the two.
A defeat against Chelsea then the pressure would well and truly mount on Mourinho, but secure a win then they can start looking upwards once again.
