Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly planning a move for Geoffrey Kondogbia.

According to Sky Sports, Tottenham Hotspur are hoping to lure Valencia midfielder Geoffrey Kondogbia to North London as they eye up a possible replacement for Mousa Dembele.
Whilst Belgian midfield ace Dembele has been key for manager Mauricio Pochettino since his appointment in 2014, he has endured a frustrating campaign this term, lacking form and fitness.
No Spurs player can really match Dembele’s drive through midfield, and that means that manager Pochettino should be looking to find a replacement over the coming months.

Sky Sports claim that Tottenham are now looking into a move for Geoffrey Kondogbia, who has notched an impressive three goals and one assist in 12 games for Valencia since joining on loan from Inter Milan over the summer.
The Frenchman possesses the same power and drive as Dembele, as well as a sweet left foot, meaning he may be an ideal replacement for Dembele – but the situation is a little complicated.
Valencia hold a right to buy Kondogbia at the end of the season when his loan ends, meaning Spurs may need to wait until the summer to make a bid for the former Monaco ace, and a part-exchange deal could suit all parties.

The Sun recently reported that Valencia want to sign Spurs misfit Moussa Sissoko, who has yet to impress since his 2016 move from Newcastle United, with many hoping that the 28-year-old moves on in the near future.
If Valencia really do want Sissoko, then some sort of agreement involving the midfielder heading to Spain could make sense at the end of the season, with Kondogbia moving in the opposite direction.
Swap deals are difficult in football, but with Valencia keen and Spurs pursuing Kondogbia, this is one that may just give Spurs the ideal chance to offload one of their recent flops whilst bringing in a player they are keen on.
