Well, Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta won’t be promoting Jordi Osei-Tutu to first-team duties this season.
It was reported by Goal.com earlier this summer that the Gunners boss could start using the 21-year-old for the 2020-21 campaign.
Osei-Tutu made a big impression during a loan at German outfit Bochum last season and seemed to be scoring or setting one up every few days when the Bundesliga 2 got back underway in June.
But Arsenal have loaned out the right-back – who was playing on the wing in Germany – again and this time he has signed for Championship outfit Cardiff City.
Osei-Tutu, who has been on the North Londoners’ books since 2015, has signed a season-long agreement with the Bluebirds and it’ll be fascinating to see how he fares in the rough and tumble of England’s second tier.
Here’s how fans of the Welsh outfit reacted on Twitter:
This might be an indication that Hector Bellerin won’t be leaving.
The Spaniard has been linked with a move to Juventus in recent weeks but with only Cedric Soares as a right-back option if Bellerin left, they wouldn’t have loaned out Osei-Tutu if there was a chance the former Barcelona youth could be leaving.
