Some Sheffield Wednesday fans on social media have pinpointed Liam Palmer as a player who will be vitally important for them next season.

The Owls were unfortunately relegated on Saturday afternoon, and as you can imagine, players took to social media to apologise for the season and share their feelings on the club’s situation.

One player who was seemingly incredibly cut up by the fact the Owls have gone down was Liam Palmer, the 29-year-old is a boyhood Wednesday fan and he posted an emotional message after the club’s relegation was confirmed.

Now that the dust has settled, Wednesday supporters have started to look towards next season, and Palmer, due to his talent and affiliation with the club, has been highlighted by some fans as a player who could be very important.

Whether or not Palmer makes an impact next term remains to be seen, but Owls supporters are certainly hopeful.
