Tim Sherwood has stated that Harry Kane is ’too good’ following his performance during Tottenham’s 3-1 win over West Ham United on Sunday, as he told Premier League Productions.
The Spurs striker might not have got on the scoresheet during the London derby, but as per, he laid two balls on a plate for Heung-Min Son.
Even Kurt Zouma’s own goal in the first half was Kane feeding Son, before the West Ham defender ended up converting into his own net to open the scoring.
All afternoon long, Kane would drop deep and make the ball talk like he is one of the best playmakers in the country.
But it’s what Spurs fans have seen many times before, as Sherwood was critical of the Hammers for how they defended against the England captain.
“The weight of pass is exquisite,” said Sherwood. “He doesn’t have any control problems.
“They (West Ham) are too native because they need to stop Harry Kane. You stop this guy, then you stop a large part of what Tottenham have going forward.
“He creates all of the time when he comes deep. Earlier on in the season, we were criticising him for coming deep. He comes deep for a reason because he is the one who can find a pass.
“When he picks it up, his touch is exquisite, he knows the right pass at the right time. Everyone moves because he can look after possession. He’s the killer. The kingpin out there. You need to get around him – he is too good to leave unattended. You need to give him attention.”
Son and Kane are record-breakers in the Premier League because they have combined for the most goals.
In truth, they are just going to continue to run away with it because no duo, that are currently actively playing, are anywhere near them.
Either way, with this Spurs side still pushing for Champions League football and hunting down Arsenal.
It’s pretty obvious that both Kane and Son are going to be the key ingredients if they are to pull off a shock and secure that fourth spot.
